1. Introduction

Welcome to Daniel Wildlife Safari, a travel agency specializing in African trips and wildlife safaris. By booking a trip or safari with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any booking.

2. Definitions

• "Client" refers to the individual making the booking and all persons on whose behalf the booking is made.

• "Safari" refers to the travel package or experience booked through Daniel Wildlife Safari.

• "Force Majeure" refers to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, and other unforeseeable events.

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Booking Process

• A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a completed signed booking form and a non-refundable deposit.

• The Client must be at least 18 years old and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3.2 Payment Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking.

• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the safari start date.

• For bookings made within 60 days of the safari start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

3.3 Payment Methods

• Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed-upon methods.

• A 4% surcharge applies to payments made via our credit card payment link.

• All local and international bank charges are the responsibility of the Client.

 

4. Price Increases

4.1 External Supplier Costs

• All quotations provided by Daniel Wildlife Safari are based on current costs from third-party suppliers, including but not limited to airfare, airport taxes, fuel surcharges, accommodation, car hire, park fees, and gate fees. These costs are beyond our control and are therefore subject to change until the final payment has been received or, in the case of flights, until tickets have been issued.

4.2 Client Responsibility

• Should any of these external costs increase after the quotation has been issued but before final payment or ticketing, the Client agrees to cover the difference. This additional amount will be payable directly to Daniel Wildlife Safari or as otherwise directed.

 

5. Cancellation and Refunds

5.1 Cancellation by the Client

• All cancellations must be made in writing and will be effective upon receipt by Daniel Wildlife Safari.

• Cancellation fees:

  • More than 60 days before safari start date: Deposit forfeited

  • Less than 60 days before safari start date: 100% of total safari cost

5.2 Cancellation by Daniel Wildlife Safari

• We reserve the right to cancel a safari due to Force Majeure or other unforeseen events.

• In such cases, clients will be offered an alternative safari or a full refund of all payments made.

 

6. Changes to Bookings

6.1 Changes by the Client

• Requests for changes must be made in writing.

• We will try to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee all changes can be made.

• Any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the Client.

6.2 Changes by Daniel Wildlife Safari

• We reserve the right to make minor itinerary changes.

• For significant changes, clients will be informed promptly and offered options: accept the change, choose an alternative safari, or receive a full refund.

 

7. Travel Insurance

• Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.

• Insurance must cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, and cancellation.

• Clients are responsible for ensuring adequate coverage for the entire trip duration.

 

8. Health and Safety

8.1 Medical Conditions

• Clients must inform us of any medical conditions or disabilities.

• We reserve the right to decline a booking if we believe it would pose a health or safety risk.

8.2 Vaccinations and Precautions

• Clients are responsible for obtaining necessary vaccinations and health precautions recommended for African travel.

 

9. Flight Policy

9.1 Flight Bookings

• Daniel Wildlife Safari does not arrange flights outside of Africa.

• Clients are responsible for booking their own international to Africa.

• Daniel Wildlife Safari does arrange flights in Africa.

9.2 Flight Changes and Cancellations

• All flight issues are subject to the airline’s terms.

• We are not responsible for costs due to changes or cancellations.

9.3 Delayed or Missed Flights

• We cannot be held liable for missed safari activities due to delayed flights.

• Clients are advised to obtain insurance covering such incidents.

9.4 Alternative Arrangements

• We may assist in arranging alternate transportation if feasible.

• Any additional costs are the Client’s responsibility.

9.5 Airline Responsibilities

• Clients should follow the airline's rules on baggage, check-in, and documentation.

 

10. Hotel and Lodge Terms

• Accommodation and some services are provided by third parties.

• Their terms and conditions apply alongside ours.

• These can be requested or accessed on the providers' websites.

• We do not assume responsibility for third-party performance or policies.

 

11. Liability

11.1 Limitation of Liability

• We act only as an agent for hotels, transport services, and other suppliers.

• We are not liable for the acts or omissions of these suppliers.

11.2 Force Majeure

• We are not liable for losses due to events beyond our control.

 

12. Data Protection and Privacy

• Personal information collected will only be used for booking and communication purposes.

• We comply with applicable data protection laws and do not share personal data without consent.

 

13. Governing Law

• These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that country.

 

14. Acceptance of Terms

• By booking with us (online, by email, or through an agent), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

15. Disclaimer
While Daniel Wildlife Safari strives to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information presented on our website, we make no warranties—express, implied, or otherwise—regarding the completeness, accuracy, or availability of any content. Daniel Wildlife Safari, its employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the website or any linked materials.
